The Furniture Test Centre

The Furniture Test Centre was established in 1991 with the assistance of an initial equipment support grant from EOLAS. The Centre fulfilled the initial aim of establishing a test facility to service a range of industrial demands. The facilitation of a fully accredited test facility within a college is unique in Ireland and demonstrates the level of commitment of the University of Limerick to the project. The client base has been extended considerably but is still largely concentrated in the contract and office furniture sectors
