In my opinion, IKEA in Ireland is a real must. It is the only country, in Europe, where no such store is present. Please, help us Mr. Kemprad...you live in Switzerland not far from where I was living previously. Please do not forget Ireland and make all you can to help us to get one of your wonderful stores bringing sunshine and allowing people to make of their homes joyful paradises !!! More in general, as a Swiss citizen newly established in Ireland, I am really wondering why everything takes such a long time in this country. Ikea is just one example amongst so many other ones : - the daily traffic jams around Dublin (did nobody invent "fly-overs" in this country ?); - the 2 separated taps on the basins (hot and cold one separated....); - etc.... Anybody also concerned by this ? -

Hi "blue". I agree completely with you! Ikea is a MUST over here in Ireland. The store would give other furniture companies a rn for their money and maybe get them to reconsider their outrageous prices! Shopping for furniture here in Ireland is like buying a car in other places. Having come here from Germany 3 years ago, i find this one of the most disturbing facts of life here. I mean, Ireland is a beautiful country, good economy etc, etc but does a pressboard desk really have to cost at least 300 Euros?? That is more than outrageous. I can not say much about the traffic jams in Dublin, as we live out west and here traffic is mainly made up of sheep and tractors :) The two seperate taps on the sink do bother me too :) But one just has to get used to letting the water accumulate in the sink before washing hands or face :) Its even worse when you have a "mixing batterie" as we call them in Germany - The water comes out cold up front and hot in the back. Ever tried to stick your head under that? Its fun :) I hope that IKEA will hurry up and get everything done so that they can open as soon as possible! SnoopyB
