There used to be a company Flatpackireland that used to go over and buy IKEA products. That company is now no longer operating. A link here to Stenaline who operate this service to IKEA from Belfast http://www7.stenaline.com/servlet/se.ementor.econgero.servlet.presentation.Main?data.node.id=14745&data.language.id=2 I hope that this helps. If anyone one has their own story to tell please let us know. Thanks, Richard

I'm from scotland and have bought a good lot of furniture in IKEA glasgow. They offer a delivery service to Ireland, which is done by a company based in Antrim i think. There is a charge of £100 sterling as they do it by the pallet. So if you are buying its worth getting as much as possible in one go. The delivery company was quick efficient and friendly, i purchased the goods on Sunday afternoon and had them in Dublin by Thursday of the same week. They offered to deliver on the tuesday but i had to organise time off work so couldn't accept it. Overall very good service, would definitely do it again, and all the stuff i got has been really good, no problems at all.

I've seen this thing about the "pallet" a few times. Excuse my ignorance, but what size is a pallet. My mate reckons it's the size of a single IKEA trolley so this would work out expensive for delivery? :?: :?: :?:

A pallet is approx 4ft x 4ft. You can load quite a lot of items on a single pallett. The best option would be to check with IKEA as they do offer home delivery in Ireland now. Thanks, Richard

You can now use Ikea in Edinburg to deliver directly to Republic of Ireland. You  dont need to be present to order (like the Glasgow store) you just ring up and they deliver. It cost you mind with prices around £200+ for the pallet, but worth it ...if you really want something special. Im waiting for a sofa so I hope it arrives soon.

If possible visit the store as things might look different when it is in front of you.
