"The Love seat" recently won an award at the "Plan Expo" show at the RDS. The seat is created in EPS (expanded polystyrene foam) and is then coated with a render to add weight and strength. The seat was given a painted finish but it could have equally been given a mosaic tile finish. EPS is an extremely versatile material that can be utilised in a wide range of applications. Our aim is to show how an unusual shape can be easily created to allow designers and architects explore new ideas in respect of design and location.
