Sofa - seats getting bally

Hi, I bought a material sofa and chair in march, paid almost 3k for them both. Sofa has a lounging seat and this became bally(sofa is grey and i noticed white little balls all over the seat), i put it down to cream cushions I had on the sofa. Now my chair is becoming the same. I have removed the cushions and its still appearing. Do I have a case to go back to the shop with? I paid that much expecting it to last years not 8 months. I have no kids so its just the two of us sitting on it and to be honest the chair is only used when we have guests. :evil:
