Looking for a teak tree bench and it seems that this teak garden furniture company are the only people who are willing to send to dublin for less then £250 delivery charge!!!!
Does anyone know of anyone else before i place an order?
Cheers,
Kat. -

Hi Kat, It may be difficult to find but try contacting these companies. From my experiece these may offer the best chance of getting what you are looking for. http://www.outdoor.ie/ http://www.leinstertimberproducts.com/ http://www.irishtrading.ie/ http://www.irishwoods.com/ Also consider Coillte http://www.coillte.ie/wood_products/timber_outdoor.htm Thanks, Richard www.furniture.ie -

Try contacting coillte, they have a sawmill and may make to order. Some other Joiners may make to order, but I doubt you would get it for less. Make sure the timber is Teak or Iroko or you will need it to last in the Irish Weather. also this is another company with teak furniture in Ireland http://www.hamptonsteak.com/ Also some companies may have the product but not display it on their website. Thanks, Richard -

Thanks again Richard. I really appreciate your help. I rang quite a few now, and one quoted me over 3.5K! I think i have to swallow my pride and get it from faraway. even with £180 delivery charge (they claim they have to deliver it themselves) its still much cheaper then anything here. What do you think of the bench itself? i have heard good things about faraway but never bought anything this expensive online. -

I don't know anything about the company, I like the bench, it would look really well in the Garden. Delivery is expensive. With any purchase online you have a seven day period in which you can send the product back. This is covered in a new distance selling directive. As a general rule for buying online make sure you have the contact details for the company, Telephone landline, check when the transaction will be processed and check the status of the trader, limited company, sole trader etc. If you have these details, and there is a problem, if you can no longer access the website, then at least you can still contact them. Unless you are in a hurry, hold off and see if any one posts a reply, you may be able to source it in Ireland then. Thanks, Richard -
