Anyone got any interesting new housing development that a first time buyer can afford? -

My husband an dI are first time buyers, graduates and we both have full time jobs. But we wanted to get into the property ladder more sooner than later. We live in Co. Longford where we have the tax renewal in many new developments. We only looked at detached houses though... some of the estates we looked into were: There are huge houses very affordable, DETACHED, 2 story (4 bedrooms) in Keenagh for 217,000 the most expensive in the development, and you get the tax renewal so you save a lot at the end. About 10mins from Longford Town and 25 mins from Athlone. We also look at Clonbalt Woods, detached, 4 bedrooms, they have fitted kitchen, wood floors upstairs, and tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms, tax renewal, they're 230,000 the cheapest, nice looking houses and they're in the Longford town. And where we got our house!!! The best of all... very very nice estate , very few houses (only 3 of our type), all detached, (4 and 5 bedroom) and quite affordable!! lol won't tell where it is though. There are only 2 houses left. (2 miles from Longford town) There are many developments going on in longford and its around areas :) -

Well worth going for a Detached house. There can be a lot of noise issues with Semi detached. -

Heard something on Today fm about 3 bed home 1 hour from the M50 for €175,000. Anyone heard of these or know anything about them. -

In CastleDermot. There a couple of new Development there. The best I saw was 185000 but when I enquired they were 190000. They have no Floors or Kitchen, so you will have to spend an extra 20000 to get is up and running. HTH -

I was seen 5 out of 7 properties withdrawn at the last auction I was at, a sure sign that demand is softening, this means better prices for first time buyers.
