I am looking for some advice please. We are considering buying a house that needs some work done to it. Not a huage amount by any standard as it not a very old house, but a lot of cosmetic work. We have no idea of the cost of these things as in the past we have bought new. If anybody could give me some ball park figures or reccomend suppliers for the following it would be a great help. without knowing the details I would reckon you wold need to budget 20,000 to 30,000 to renovate the house to make it habitable. Thanks, Richard -

If you do most of the work yourself. You can save a considerable sum. If you have time spare weekends you would be surprised at what you can do. The builders providers and shops are always available to give some advice.
