hi I am moving into a new apartment and want to get a burler alarm fitted. Could anybody reccomend a name of a good reasonably priced company that would do this. In south dublin area and apartment is allready wired for alarms. Thanks Sarah -

You an get an alarm system now that plugs into the sockets and can call you mobile if there is an intruder. I have seen these for under 100 and they also seem to be taken into account by the Insurance company... -

thanks for the advice. but i assume you would need a phone line to avail of this. and i am not planning on getting a land line. mobile phones too handy and always getting cheaper. -

I don't think you need an land line to use these systems, they simply plug into the wall and can call your mobile phone. A company in Ballina called ECM Systems had a device like this, used to be available in Atlantic homecare sorry no other details available.
