Just wondering if anyone out there knows what happened to the SofaSofa stores (Galway/Dublin)....Had a sofa on order from there, and they seem to have just disappeared!! Even if I knew where they sourced their sofa's from I could perhaps find out if mine was ever actually ordered. Any info welcome! -

There is no mention of it on their website http://www.sofasofa.ie. I will check a few places to see if I have any more information for you.
Thanks,
Lisa

Thanks Lisa.
Yes, the website still seems to be up and running, but no one at the end of the telephone line

They also have another website http://www.sofasofa.net/contact/index.html But there is no response from either number there. So I would assume that are gone. Unless anyone else has any info

Did they put there where they are relocating?

I haven't had any further luck finding info on them either. I'd imagine if it was a genuine re-location they'd have their new address in big letters! -

All I know is that the shop has being closed for some time and has a sold sign up. Did you have a deposit paid?

Yep, small amount only but would like to track him down, when he was closing down they made contact to say the Dublin store was remaining open and the delivery would come from there. Will try and contact leasing agent/landlord and get a number. Thanks -

Hi,
has anyone idea where Sofa Sofa have relocated to.. I need to get in touch as the Sofa I bought is faulty (the edge of the seat has a sunken look to it, hard to describe but it is definitly down to the way it was made).. anyway.. I think it is possible they have closed down as I have failed t o find any contact info for them which you would think woulfd be in their interest to keep people aware of where they are!..
Anyways, any info is much appreciated..

I know that Sliderobes have moved into their premises, As far as the issue with the Sofa you best option is to see if there is a Manufacturers name on it any where. The issue would ultimately have to be resolved by the manufacturer.
Thanks,
Richard

Yeah I know about Sliderobes, I went in there at the weekend to see if they knew where these guys went.. they thought they moved to Dublin.. Wrt the Manufacter, do I have any consumer rights that cover me in this sort of circumstance.. can I just call them up, explain where I bought it and tell them the Sofa is faulty and ask for them to fix it.. if so cool.. Thanks for your reply.. -

Any issue with the product ultimately comes back to the manufacturer. They would have to resolve the issue. As regards your rights this will depend on the time you bought the product but you can check this site http://www.odca.ie/
Thanks,
Richard

Hi guys
Our company designed sofasofa.ie, we were informed by our contact there that the company had been sold, and were requested to take the site down. Thought it quite strange at the time, as the new site was less than 9 months old, and they had requested several changes to it during the nine months. Didn't leave any forwarding details with us, and we actually had a number of people contact US looking for details.
