I want to put a solid wooden oak floor in my kitchen. The shop said that was ok, but I think they were just keen to sell at any price. A builder didn't recommend it for a kitched due to spills etc which would result in the wood taking in too much moisture. Has anyone any practical experience. Its not a new house so its fully dried out.
