Hi,

We are currently builging our new home on the tipp/kilkenny border and am wondering where/how much it would cost to get someone to finish the iinterior i.e dressing the rooms.i have a good idea bout what i want but don't know if i can put it all together or if I have the time to do it ! i have a new baby and a broken ankle!!

Any suggestions?

Re: Interior design - expect to pay around €100 - €120 per room for advice only. I am in Offaly and could reccommend people from here, but I'm sure there are good people closer to you.

Interior designer rates can vary depending on the project - they can vary from a flat hourly rate to a percentage of the project. An interior designer can actually save you money, as they will help you avoid costly mistakes and can get you extra discounts from suppliers.

Interior designers can be very useful, but alot of advice and genuine practical information can be gained by the individual trades people that you have doing the actual work for you. You'll be suprised how effective a site meeting between the trade contractors can be in quickly bringing practical and interesting idea's quickly into place.
