Best value couches - cork

I am after buying a two bedroom apartment. The living room is square and has no fireplace and as such, lacks any focal point. The floors are solid maple and the walls are painted magnolia. I would welcome any advice on what types /colour of couches which would give the room more definition and which are the best (choice and value wise) furniture shops in cork regarding same. thanks
