    Hi

We bought a very expensive sofa from a Dublin department Store (the most expensive one), (nearly 5K) we ordered it just after christmas and we're still waiting, its 10 weeks late. This is bad enough but we constantly have to chase them for an update, when they do ring me back they have no news and promise to go off and chase it and ring me back they never do until I ring again, again they promise to get me news...still waiting. At this stage we just want our money back, we paid for it in full about 10 weeks ago as apparently it was going to be delivered the following week. We haven't been able to use our sitting room since we moved into our new house as we didn't have a couch. Anyone know where I stand on this??? I'd never buy anything from them again!!

Well if the agreement that it was to be delivered in one week and it wasnt thn they broke the agreement.

you should be entitled to a full refund, i bet if you go in and demand a refund your sofa will be delivered the next week. They will do everything in their power to not refund you.

    Also, name and shame them.

I can't see how any company could have 5000 for over 10 weeks from you. i would expect any company would push the boat out to ensure your got what you wanted.

It is difficult with furniture as you find something your really like after a good bit of searching, it is hard to decide to go with something else after waiting on the particualar sofa you had you heart set on.

I would set a deadline for them and if them havn't delivered then demand your money back.
