With all the negative comments that are being posted about various companies I thought I'd give some positive feedback on a company I've dealt with by the name of Apt Furnishings - fantastic service from start to finish. I had just bought an apartment & wasn't looking forward to the hassle of furniture shopping - I had some bits given to me by family etc. but needed couch & bedroom furniture. They don't have a retail outlet but simply a brochure which you order from (have a website, not much to it but it'll give you their contact details - www.apt.ie). I received a flyer in the door from them, sent them an email for a brochure not knowing what their range would be like, received the brochure back by email, liked the look of a leather couch & a nice bedroom range they had, sent back an email asking how long the delivery time would be if I was to order from them to which I received a reply the same day saying it could be with me within 2 weeks (and the usual with the shops seems to be 2 months!! or longer judging by some of the stories here!!). Went ahead and ordered the furniture and got it 9 days later! Not only that but you don't have to worry about flat pack stuff - they come out & build it for you! - all included in the price - which, incidentally was the best bit of all. Because they don't have a shop & therefore the usual overheads associated with a shop, they can afford to sell at a much lower price (they ship the furniture from the wholesaler to you). You've to send them a cheque for the full amount when ordering - that's the only thing but then again a lot of furniture shops are the same now aren't they? (in that you've to pay up front). As regards quality of the furniture - top notch stuff. The bedroom range I got is solid malaysian hardwood - never seen anything like it in the shops, really different looking. But it's a small company, seems to be mainly 1 guy running it and I can't sing their praises enough. I'll be going back to them again for the 2nd bedroom!!

Great to have positive views expressed on this forum, can you confirm that you have no association with the company.
Thanks,
