there are many different colours you can use on the interior , white is the most popular colour for sliding wardrobes and in closets  beech or dark walnut are very popular, when choosign your new sliding wardrobe, why dont you order a woodgrain swatch from "sliding wardrobe" companys and try and match your new sliding wardrobe,s with your existing furniture.

The standard depth from wall to the front of robe would be 660mm.  This can be altered depending on your circumstances and requirements etc... Anything else i can help you with ?

      at robedesign all our, sliding wardrobes, have floors and backs ,  as for extras !!   all our sliding wardrobes ,closets, sliding mirrored doors , have a price list ..for example  if you have opening , lets say an alcove of 10 feet wide , and a standard ceiling height of 8 foot ( give or take a few inches)   and you are looking for  sliding mirrored doors, we charge  2700 euros  for this sliding wardrobe,  what you get is  a full interior  ( floors and backs )   drawers , shelving , all our shelving is adjustable. full hanging , single hanging, tie belts  holders,  pull downs ,shoes can go on the floor of the sliding wardrobe , or if you like we can design you a shoe rack , so you can see your shoes ,  you know what they say if you cant see it you wont wear it .  trouser rails, the list is endless.

there is a lot of sliding wardrobe companys , giving prices over the phone, and when u sit down with them , your new sliding wardrobe , has gone through the roof..  not with robedesign :)

   most interiors  are normally white, but we can do beech, light walnut , dark walnut , oak, ivory , cherry, maple,  snady birch, pippy oak,  and  cream.

Do you do sliding wardrobes in Limerick?  I got a sliding wardrobe company to measure and design my new sliderobe.  They told me they don't charge for this service.  when i went to their showroom, they showed me the drawing but would not give it to me unless i payed for it.  Does Robe Design charge for this service ?  My ceiling height is 2.700 high, can you make sliding wardrobe door this height?  Do you put backs and floors in your units?

Thank you for your query.  Yes we do supply & fit sliding wardrobes in Limerick.  We are the largest sliding wardrobe company in Ireland, with fourteen showrooms & outlets nationwide.

At Robe Design we give out quotations for your new sliding wardrobe, then when the customer is happy with our sliding wardrobe price list, we then go on site to measure & design your new sliding wardrobe. When you come to our sliding wardrobe showroom, we then give you the drawings free of charge. 

Your sliding wardrobe is 2.700 high, yes we can make full height sliding wardrobe doors at your dimensions. 

All of our sliding wardrobes have full interior e.g floors & backs.

Another question for you.. do i have a choice in interior colour ?  Some sliding wardrobe companies only have white.. i want a beech finish if possible as i wil be putting my t.v in it and the door will be open a lot of the time.

all sliding wardrobe companys by law, have to use a safety backed mirror , when manufacturing  sliding wardrobes, including robedesign!

and yes we do have tinted sliding mirrored doors,(bronze).

I have a project on the go. I need pricing for a job where there is possibly space for 3 sliding wardrobes.

The Sliding Wardrobes need to be roughly 6 up 10 foot in width. Height 8 foot. The sliding wordrobes are required before easter.

I'm a carpenter (shop-fitter), I have an existing wardrobe and my wife wants a sliding wardrobe.  The wardrobe i have is fully fitted with a gable on one end.. its dark wood like walnut, is it possible to put sliding doors on the existing wardrobe?

Malachy - I missed the post you sent to me previously about pricing for a fitted mirror in a bathroom  The dimensions are about 5ft by 4ft but would need to be measured properly - I'm assuming it's a straight wall!! New User

I love the idea of sliding mirror doors on wardrobes!!

The only problem is that i havent got much space in my room .. i have a 14foot wall but my double bed (5 foot i think) has to be on it aswell, is it possible to have sliding wardrobes each side with a unit going over the bed .. all in sliding mirrors ?

yes we do cover donegal,  your dimentions are 14 foot wide , but you have to include a  5 foot bed as well,   this leaves you with 4.5 foot either side of the bed,   most sliding wardrobe companys use a depth size of 660 , this is from the back of the sliding wardrobe to the front of the sliding wardrobe, the smallest sliding wardrobe we can manufacture is about 1200 wide ,  ( around 4 foot )     which leaves you with no room to get into bed ,      if you like you can send me dimentions of your bedroom, and i can have a look at  it  for  you.

Hi Malachy ..  a friend of mine in Limerick had a sliding wardrobe fitted by robe design about a year and a half ago, i fell in love with it.  She has 2 full mirror doors and one woodgrain panelled door in the centre.. Looks fabulous!!I was thinking of having all bronzed mirror as it is for a very traditional living room and think the modern silver mirror sliding doors would not look as good.  And instead of the chrome trim and rails i would like gold or something darker  maybe...Can this be done?  also I would just want shelving for my dvds etc..

I am living in Co.Clare would it take long to have a designer call down to take a look?

Please help! 

We have an existing built in wardrobe (badly designed that came with the house!) that we would love to change to a sliding door format. The dimensions are: W3.8m H2.5m D0.55m. Unfortunetly there is a chimney breast in the centre, about 1.2 metres wide. We would love to rip the whole thing out and start afresh. Ideally with a mirrored door with contemporary design and shallow shelves over the chimney breast section.

We really need to maximise our storage space with trouser rails, tie racks, shelves, the whole shebang!

Would you have an indication of the ballpark f/igure we would need for this? Also, we are in the Dublin 5 area. Where is your nearest showroom to us?

changing your existing wardrobe should not be a problem,  to sliding doors.

your dimentions look ok as well, as for price , your new sliding wardrobe will have to be surveyed by a designer , before a price can be given to you.
