Sharing A Bed - The Pros And Cons

Written by Administrator October 23, 2006

Some scientists say that brainpower can be damaged by sharing a bed. When men spend the night with a partner, their sleep patterns can be disturbed even if they make love or not. This can then lead to reduced mental ability the next day. Apparently women do not suffer from similar problems. They also have disturbed sleep by sharing a bed, but tend to get a quality rest when they do drop off. Their brain power stays undiminished.

Sharing a bed can have a big impact on dreams. Normally, women do remember more of their own dreams when sleeping alone, while men remember more parts of their dreams after sex.

Most men think that having a partner in bed can help them to drop off, while most women felt they slept much better when they do it alone. This could be because men are more often responsible for some of the obvious causes of disturbed sleep, such as snoring?

Over-heating because of the extra warmth generated by sleeping beside another person may be just as blameworthy for a sleep-deprived night as other factors.

Each couple should work together to work out their systems for sleeping together so both can enjoy the pleasure of each others company. These systems usually became comforting routines of how couples prepare for bed, get into bed, behave once in the bed, fall asleep and wake up.

Couples who share a bed for many years get so used to each other that if they by any chance spend a night separated from each other they may experience a very restless night's sleep alone. Sleeping together can immediately solve this major problem.
