Choose A Firm Supportive Bed And Not A Hard One
February 08, 2006
The British Sleep Council's view is backed by their own research, conducted in 2001 in conjunction with BackCare, the charity for healthier backs. Over 900 of the UK's most acute back sufferers and nearly 500 back pain experts responded to the survey and overwhelmingly said that a firm, supportive bed, rather than a hard bed, can do wonders to ease and even prevent bad backs. Only 22% of sufferers said they had bought a bed classed as orthopaedic, while 28% described their bed support as medium. 98% agreed that a good, supportive bed could help a bad back.
