Firm Fined For False Mattress Claims

A UK furniture retailer has been fined for making false claims on the products it sold. Trading standards, a UK consumer protection agency, investigated claims made by a UK furniture retailer against what was actually in the product when technically examined. It found 6 problems, such as less springs than stated and different materials than stated.

This should be a lesson for consumers here in Ireland to be aware of.
