Aga Launches 'Love Aga' Campaign
Since the very first Aga was installed, people have been falling in love with this iconic cooker – and the love affair can last a lifetime. It's difficult to think of another household product used every day which can last for decades, often passed down from one generation to the next. It's also hard to imagine another brand that inspires such passion. Irish Aga owners simply love their Aga's and would not be without them. With this in mind, Aga is delighted to announce the launch of a 'Love Aga' campaign in Ireland today, Friday 4th April, with celebrity chef and the face of Aga in Ireland, Clodagh McKenna.
The people behind the world's most famous cooker aim to reunite 20,000 Irish Aga owners in time for the auspicious 300th anniversary of Aga in 2009. But it won't be easy – Agas just keep going and are often inherited or acquired with house purchases. By reconnecting with Aga lovers, the company will be able to ensure they get the most from their cookers and they can take advantage of a range of exclusive benefits, including cookery courses, special offers and invitations to anniversary events. They will also be in the unique position of being able to become part of the history of Aga.
Commenting on the launch of this new and exciting campaign, Eileen Slattery, Aga Ireland said, "We are delighted to launch the 'Love Aga' campaign in Ireland. The aim of this campaign is to create an 'Aga family' - this is not just another marketing campaign but a concentrated effort to find all Aga owners in Ireland and look for new members to join the family! Ireland is a key market for the Aga brand and our love affair with the range cooker stretches back decades. Ask any Aga owner about their Aga and you tap into something that is very special. An owners' relationship with Aga is unique and the intuitive response is filled with emotion; often it is like they are talking about a cherished member of the family. At Aga, we want to tap into this goodwill and leverage the popularity of the brand, as Aga evokes so many fond and nostalgic memories for owners. The pattern appears to be 'Once an Aga owner always an Aga owner', so here's how to take part...."
Put your Aga on the map....
Visit Aga's social networking site www.thisismyaga.com, where Aga owners will be able to upload their Aga pictures and stories and put their Aga on the map. There will be lots of exciting offers available exclusively to those who register. Perhaps, though, the most exciting thing is the contributions made by Aga owners – they will be key to making this an exciting place to visit, so we're encouraging as many people as possible to log on and tell us all about their Aga.
In addition to this, Aga will also launch the 'Love Aga' the recipe collection, which will be launched next year. Aga will publish a selection of recipe cards, featuring Aga recipes from chefs, celebrities and Aga owners throughout the country. This charming collection will be exclusively available from Aga stores nationwide.
