IKEA recalls Leopard chldren's highchair

Furniture retailer IKEA is recalling a children's highchair because the locks securing the seat to the frame are faulty. IKEA are asking customers who have purchased the Leopard children's highchair stop using it and return the product for a refund.

    IKEA Dublin Opening - A Review

    The Republic of Ireland collectively stopped its breath the morning of 27th July, when Dublin got its first ever IKEA store. IKEA, a Swedish company and the brand known worldwide for its superiority in the retail furniture industry, has made a store that has become a centre of excitement for many local residents. Earlier people had to drive all the way to Belfast to buy IKEA’s affordable merchandise. Having a store in the south of Ireland means that they are not only saving hundreds of Euros on fuel, but also getting the products at prices that don’t dig a hole in the monthly budget.

      IKEA Dublin Opening Soon

      The first IKEA store in the Republic of Ireland is due to open on 27th July. Opening at 11am on Monday, the eagerly awaited Dublin IKEA will offer 9,500 products from the retailer's popular ranges.

              IKEA Given The Green Light For Dublin Store

              It has been announced today that An Bord Pleanála have granted permission to IKEA to build in Ballymun in Dublin. Thirty conditions have being attached to the development - most notably that the M50 upgrade has to be finished first, and also that they cannot open before 11:00am.

                IKEA Planning Hearing

                Traffic concerns were top of the agenda as the hearing over Ikea's proposed 322,800 sq. ft. store in North Dublin got under way on 20th March. Objectors to the outlet in Ballymun (adjacent to the M50) include local resident Patrick Brown, the National Roads Authority, Treasury Holdings, Eamon Ryan TD, Councillor David Healey of the Green Party, Tesco, Grafton Group, and the Irish Hardware and Building Materials Association.

                  Oral Hearing On IKEA Dublin Store Plans

                  IKEA's plans to open up shop just off the M50 in north Dublin are to be put to the test at an oral hearing next month. An Bord Pleanála confirmed today it would allow objectors, including the National Roads Authority, to put their case at a meeting on March 20th. In October, Fingal County Council granted planning permission, with more than two dozen conditions, for the Swedish furniture giant to open a massive outlet in Ballymun.

                    Belfast Store Gets Green Light

                    Swedish furniture retailer IKEA has been granted planning permission for a store in east Belfast, which will create 500 jobs. IKEA increased the floor area of the Belfast store by 3,200m2 and this delayed the planning application. The new Belfast store will have a floor area of 29,000m2.

                      Furniture.ie has learned that the retail giant IKEA was granted planning permission to open in Dublin. A number of conditions are attached to the development but these should not be a problem for a company with a turnover greater than €15 billion. This is approximately 15 times the size of the current furnishing market in Ireland.

                        IKEA To Lodge Planning Application

                        The Swedish furniture retailer IKEA will lodge a planning application for its new store in Dublin on Friday 24th February. The company will ask Fingal County Council for permission for a 30,000 square metre shop in Ballymun. IKEA's project manager in Ireland, Theresa Daly, said the company was delighted to have reached this stage.

                            It was announced earlier today that IKEA plan to enter Ireland with two stores - one in Dublin and the other in Belfast. Subject to planning permission, 500 new jobs will be created at the Dublin store, which will be located in the Ballymun Regeneration zone.
